There Once Was a Bug Who Loved the Moon

"I love this point of view looking up at the Moon through the leaves.  I bought a print for my son's room.  Are you planning on doing a children's book??"  A.A.

Yes, I am planning on doing a children's book!

When I was just a wee child, I used to walk along the old railroad tracks near my home.  There was always some little waterfall or pool or fern shaded rocks that I wished I was small enough to enjoy.   This is sort of the same idea.  I researched photos of the moon to copy the surface shadows accurately.  I can picture myself sitting right there next to the bug on a wonderful summer evening!  I can also conceive of making a children’s book one day with all my bug images.

Iris, viburnum, lily, hibiscus, maple, pear, coltsfoot, butterfly bush, fern and barberry for the bug.

As leaves are biodegradable and will fade and deteriorate quickly, original Art is scanned immediately after creation, preserving their beauty long after originals are gone.   Enjoy!
