Bateau…a happy accident.
The arrangement of the flowers and mast was something I had thrown down on my table randomly; browned day lily leaves and hydrangea. Noticing it the next day, I added red viburnum leaves to the bottom as a base. I stood back for a wider view. OK… was obvious leaves needed to be added on either side.
Voila, mon ami! It magically became a BOAT! The little critter on the front of the boat jumped out at me from my stash; reminds me of a fox, nice mast head! The brown showing thru the green water reminded me of the reflection of the boat. I’ve always loved the French language and Googled the translation for “Boat of Flowers”, hence the title.
As leaves are biodegradable and will fade and deteriorate quickly, original Art is scanned immediately after creation, preserving their beauty long after originals are gone.
